The students of Kannur Medical College conducted medical exhibition as part of the CANFAIR organised by the Malabar Cancer Care Society from the 8th of November 2008. It was the student body that toiled day and night inorder to put up the stall and arrange all the exhibits, but of course none of this would have been possible if it was not fr the continuous support, faith and encouragement by all our professors and doctors. Apart from various other stalls, the medical exhibition was lively in the limelight with the grand eye catching entrance. Inside, it had various specimens and flexes from every department in the hospital which gave the public a clear cut idea of all the facilities available in Kannur Medical College & Superspeciality Hospital.

The Exhibition Committee Meeting

The main attraction was the clinical side where the public could check their BP, vision, BMI, Blood Group and also Blood Sugar. Along with this, there was also a video show, presented by KMC Students' Union iT Club, which projected a number of surgeries and a public awareness show on swine flu. Apart from this, another sttraction was the dancing skeleton and the Dying Smoker which depicted the crude after effect of continuous smoking. All in all, this exhibition turned out to be a grand success with the public as it included many self explanatory flexes and posters and highly informative video shows, which definetely reached out to the public.

The beacon of medical awareness exhibition (Canfair Exhibition 2009) conducted by KMC students has illuminated the minds of common people and removed the darkness of medical ignorance for those who attended. The success of this exhibiton will definitely inspire other institutions to come forward to conduct similar campaigns. We are looking forward to a new era of medical proffessionals preparing themselves to battle the most complicated pandemic that may appear to intimidate the human race. . . and you have proved it . . . .congratulations

This exhibition was an eye opener in a way for me..it made me realize how much today's common man is concerned about being healthy nd abt being well informed in the field of health nd medicine. They had sooo many questions..wanted to know so much..were soo curious and inquisitive abt things..nd yet they were all mini-doctors in themselves.
