Dear Sir,
My son (Mr. Student1) failed in Anatomy. He scored 60 marks for Theory & 34 marks for Practical. He passed for other two subjects. What shall I do? if he go for revaluation, is there any possibility for gaining another 10 marks & PASS the Exam? Awaiting for your VALUABLE ADVICE.
Very Truely Yours,
Mr. Parent1

With all respects, Mr. Parent1,

Since Mr. Student1 has cleared both Physiology and Biochemistry, he is eligible for moderation marks upto 5 marks. Do apply for revaluation; if he some how gets 5 marks, there is possibility that he can clear, because 5 marks will be awarded as moderation marks. Many similar cases have already happened. These solely depends on the University. There is a possibility for him to pass.

Declaring of revaluation results may take around 5 months. Those missed to clear all subjects cannot attend second year classes during this period. They are expected to prepare for the supplementary exam and can attend revision classes. Once the revaluation result is out and the candidate has passed, they can join the regular batch.

According to university, he has not cleared all subjects, so for this reason he cant attend second year classes until the revaluation results are out. Students joining late in this regard would be given special care and extra classes, according to the availability of faculty members. It is also adviced that, it is not wise to solely depend on revaluation results, as we cant predict the results. To be on the safer side, avoid stressing expectations in revaluation results and it is good to start preparing the missed subjects as early as possible. After all, what Student1 missed is Anatomy which is the most crucial subject for coming years of MBBS; so revising Anatomy would do nothing but help!

Dear Sir,
Thanks. As per your mail, the revaluation results may announce in June. Meantime the Collage will conduct the supplementary exam in April & its result also will announce in May/June. Students have to apply for both revaluation & supplementary exam. It is slightly confusing. Something wrongs somewhere. Also, how these students can apply for the 2nd year Exam, where they don’t have enough attendance to appear the Exam. Because they can join with the regular batch in June only. Kindly clear my doubts.

Very Truly Yours,
Mr. Parent1

It is a matter of confusion. Actually, I meant 5 months after university examinations; not 5 months from this date. Accordingly revaluation results are likely to be announced in the month of March or April.
The second year of MBBS is of one and a half year duration, attendance shortage would be made up by extra classes.

Dear Sir,
Thanks for your valuable reply. I understood from your mail that the revaluation results will be announced much before the supplementary exam. If Student1 will pass in the revaluation process, then he can join with the 2nd year regular batch immediately without appearing the supplementary exam. Am I correct? He is applying for the revaluation & meantime attends the revision classes for the supplementary exam.
Sir, I have a humble request to you. Kindly inform me about my ward on regular basis (bi-weekly or monthly), if possible. Can we use this site as a communication platform between the parents & the Collage Authorities? So that we (the parents) are also aware of the movements of our wards within/outside the Collage premises. As you are aware, the students are from different parts of Kerala (I am from 'Place1') & can't control their movements there. If you can inform us their movements, then we can take precautionary measurements. If you can't put something publicly in this platform about my ward, then kindly send the same to my email ID (). I think many parents can interact this way, if you approach them. My suggestion is for the betterment of the students, parents & Collage Authorities. Awaiting for your valuable suggestion.
Very Truly Yours,
Mr. Parent1

Yes, you are right.

For the second part of your last reply, we want to inform you that, we are looking forward to doing it soon. We already had such an idea, and could not implement it due to lack of time. Also that, we have not made a provision for parents to register in the site so far, that too is to be done soon. Thanks for your suggestions. Will contact you in mail soon. Post your suggestions about the website in Guestbook

Dear Sir,
My son went to University to apply for the revaluation. He drops all the required documents (Mark list, Challan for Rs.800 & application) in a box. There is no acknowledgement receipt. No person to talk about any query. Did he do the correct procedure?
Very Truly Yours,
Mr. Parent1

Yah, thats it. That is the procedure. There will be a separate box for revaluation; just dropping in all required items would do. Optionally, he would have taken a photocopy of all those before dropping in; but that is not necessary.
