Kannur Medical College celebrated Christmas Night on Saturday, the 20th of December 2008 at 7:30 pm. The Christmas Night was conducted by the KMC Students Union. The Night was another memorable event for students and staff of Kannur Medical College alike. The presence of Honourable chairman of Kannur Medical College, Mr. Jabbar Haji and his wife made the event saturate with joy!
The Medical Superintendent, sang to the gathering in his own mother tongue and made the night sweeter. Kannur Medical College director, Dr. Hashim was tagged to be 'the star of KMC'. The Kannur Medical College icon of youth, Prof. Chandeshkumar (HOD - Dept. of Pathology), and other faculty members also added colours to the night. The Finland students of KMC, Jonna Haulivaara, Sari Kalkasmaa & Eila Suomalainen were chief guests at the event.
Enchanting games in which all staff participated alike made the spirit of joy grew! The round of Musical Chair put on view an international competetion between countries India and Finland at the end in which the guests took away the prize; Dr. Hashim was second to the Finland friend Jonna Haulivaara. Dr. Shetty (Dept. of Surgery) and Arun Sujat of MBBS 2006 batch presented a tight competetion in throwing ball into the basket. They reached the final round by defeating all other staff members and students. Dazzling fireworks glittered throughout the event. The event gave all those present an ever memorable souvenir and got over at around 10:00 pm.
